The short version

chapter 01

The download button lie

Clicked download. Got a popup. Closed it. Got another popup. Closed that too. Then a casino ad opened in a new tab. That button was never a download button. It was an ad wearing a download button costume.

The app store circus

Checked the Play Store and the App Store, hoping someone had already solved this. They had not. Most downloader apps are just ad containers with a nice icon. You install them, open them, and the only thing you ever download is more ads.

The decision

We got tired of complaining, so we started building. One brand, a few tools, each built for a single platform and kept simple on purpose.

Because every downloader we found was one big ad with a download button stapled on. Someone had to make one that just works.
